Hunting Patrol

*Walks into the forest, nose in the air* *Turns around and shouts to Talonclaw and Tigerslash* Hurry up, guys!
*Runs forward in search of prey*

*runs after fawnstar and flicks ear*

*pads around in the forest looking for prey* *blinks and listens for every small sound*

*quietly goes into a hunters crouch and tries to blend in with my surroundings*

*Catches the scent of rabbit* *Follows the smell* *Pinpoints my prey that is sitting underneath a tree* *Stalks towards it silently, prepared to pounce* *Stops a tail-length away and then pounces, catching the rabbit between my paws* *Gives it a swift bite to the neck and feels it go limp in my jaws* *Buries it then heads off in search of other prey*

*spots a small thrush ruffling it's feathers* [may g2g soon]

(Aww, okay) *Leaps up into a tree and scans the ground and other trees for prey*

*Spots a small squirrel sitting on the branch of a tree nearby* *Silently jumps out of the tree and stalks towards it, hoping that it will not hear me* *Approaches it, still silent* *Climbs the tree that it's sitting in and then jumps up at it* *Grabs empty air as the squirrel leaps out of the tree* *Gets down and chases it* *It goes down a rabbit hole* *Skids to a halt in front of the hole* Mouse dung! XP

((that was funny. if he poof then he left. poof. lol))

Sorry I'm late!! *immediately leaps up high and catches a fat pigeon*
*heads toward a bush and hears squeaks*

S'okay. *Is focused on looking for prey*

*flicks ear and continues to hunt* *Pads up close to a small thrush*

*slowly moves forward towards it and pounces landing squarely on it's back,bites into it's neck before it can utter a sound and gets off making sure it's dead* *covers it up and looks for more prey*

*flicks ear toward a small squeak* *goes into a hunting crouch and moves toward the dormouse*

*the mouse stands and looks around with it's ears pricked* *bursts out of my hiding spot and charges toward the mouse* *it quickly runs out of the way* Mouse dung! *makes a sharp turn and pounces* *claws snag against the mouse's tail and trips it over* *quickly bites down and kills it* *seathes claws and covers up the mouse too*

*sighs and crouches again spotting a small red squirrel*

*ear twitches and moves towards it* *it nibbles on a pine seed and makes small noises*

*stops and pounces* *the squirrel drops the seed and bolts when it hears me pouncing* *lands and charges after the squirrel*

*it runs up a tree just as i'm about to catch it* *jumps on the tree quickly before i bang against it* * makes a last attempt to snag my claws in the squirrel's tail but misses* *the squirrel bolts away into the tree branches* Mouse dung!...*jumps down and hides a torn claw*

*blinks and listens for more prey* *looks around* *hears a young robin chirping while looking for food*

*turns around and pads as close to it as i can get while not crouching and goes into a hunting crouch* *moves toward it making sure i'm downwind*

*flicks ear and unseathes all claws exept for the torn claw* *takes one more step forward and pounces* *lands on it's wing and bites it's neck killing it almost instantly*

Nice catches, guys! Let's go back to the camp... *Darts off towards the camp*

*nods to fawnstar and collects my mouse,and robin* *brings them back to camp*

*pads back in and gets the thsuh then pads back to camp*
